Practicum Theatre, a dynamic, London-based new writing company, are continuing an internship program for those interested in developing a career in music promotion and event management or a related field.

The successful candidate(s) will organize/ assist music nights as fundraisers for Practicum Theatre under the banner of Hyperbole. Supported by Practicum, Hyperbole presents a brand new way to be the first to see the hottest newcomers to the scene before they make the big-time.  Currently branded as WITH SPECIAL GUESTS, the music nights offer two gigs a month, a rock night and an alternative/folk night, which showcase the best new bands in each genre. Previous events have been held at The Garage in Islington but can be at other venues.    

Duties will include contacting bands for specific nights, planning & marketing the event, band contracts, liasing with the venue and running the nights.  Depending on interest, there may be the opportunity to organise club nights as well.

This is an opportunity suitable for a candidate who has a keen interest in music, is organised, efficient, diligent and open to learning.   Experience in music promotion would be an advantage.

Applicants should be able to communicate effectively, and an ability to work in a team.

The appropriate candidate(s) will be available to work from home on a per-project basis.  Where travel to and from meetings is required, expenses for travel will be provided.

The placements will commence March 20th.
